This programme focuses on the way forward and beyond the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act. Citizens are demanding higher wages, and increased number of days. It was envisaged that participants of the MGNREGA programme would, have better incomes and therefore access to information and basic services that would improve their quality of life. Also, they would have access to skill building programmes leading to better livelihood opportunities enabling a graduation out of MGNREGA into stronger livelihood arenas.
